1). Firstly, install the thermocouple tip on a board and use two nuts to fix its location. 2). Next, keep the tip at around 5mm distance from the burner hole at the right height. 3). Then, fasten the thermocouple nut M8 tightly on the valve end (Please check if your valve end thread is 8mm before making a purchase). 4). After that, ensure that the two flat terminals are well connected with the current tilt switch terminals. 5). Open the gas and push the valve for around 5-10s until the thermocouple head is sufficiently heated. 6). Release your hand and it should work properly.

If the gas valve shuts off again when you release your hand, please check: a. If your thermocouple is always being heated by the flame b. If the thermocouple end is well connected with the valve c. If the terminals are connected to the tilt switch properly.

This propane gas patio heater dump switch type thermocouple comes with end nuts for valve M8*1 and two terminals to connect the dump switch on the patio heaters. The thermocouple tip thread is M6x0.75 universal type, which allows for easy adjustment of height by nuts. It is also easy to install - simply place the head for heating around the burner and thread nuts for the valve, and then connect the other two terminals for the dump switch. Additionally, the thermocouple can also connect to a thermostat. It is important to keep the head heated at all times, as otherwise it may cause the gas to stop.
